My Organizational design program
A. Introduction
My OD design program is the combination of operation of our organization that should respond to the uncertainty within the organization. Our topic is all about changes, we need to integrate our idea to immune ourselves from different changes that happened in our environment. Everyone should learn on how to adopt and make it a good from them the changes that may encounter in our daily life weather it is positive or negative. Some people got a problem on how they facing their problem.
B. General Goods
Our Organization promotes systematic changes that create for every individual to become better ones, for everyone to achieve the level of competitiveness.
C. Specific objectives
a) To create an environment that support to every individual to accept the changes
b) Encouraging every individual to face the problem that may encounter during changes weather it is positive or negative.
c) Strengthening their inter – personal skills
D. Calendar of objectives
The first week of March we started our activity, we make a puzzle and thrown a guided question for them to easily acquire the topic that we discussed, however most them are very hard time to answered our question because they did not read the book. We did our best to give them best activity that I think it fit for their understanding.
E. KSA – Activities with description
Knowledge – we create an activity that we think it measure the cognitive level of individual within the organization, like the puzzle that we made, it creates a brain storming of each individual in order to understand and able to answer every question.
Skills – after the activity that we made I think the skills that they develop is inter – personal, because they grouped them and while doing the activity they communicate to each other in order to finish their task.
Attitude – most of the grouped failed to get the proper attitude when their doing their task because some of them are talking to much, there are lack of team work.
F. Od norm activities
Group norms are the informal rules that groups adopt to regulate members' behavior. Norms are characterized by their evaluative nature; that is, they refer to what should be done. Norms represent value judgments about appropriate behavior in social situations. Although they are infrequently written down or even discussed, norms have powerful influence on group behavior. If each individual in a group decided how to behave in each interaction, no one would be able to predict the behavior of any group member; chaos would reign. Norms guide behavior and reduce ambiguity in groups.
Understanding how group norms develop and why they are enforced is important to managers. Group norms are important determinants of whether a group will be productive. A work group with the norm that its proper role is to help management will be far more productive than one whose norm is to be antagonistic to management. Managers can play a part in setting and changing norms by helping to set norms that facilitate tasks, assessing whether a group's norms are functional, and addressing counterproductive norms with subordinates.
Norms usually develop slowly as groups learn those behaviors that will facilitate their activities. However, this slow development can be short-circuited by critical events or by a group's decision to change norms.
Collaboration – when we say collaboration it is working together of two people or group, in our task that we give in every group, each one has participate to the group that they belong.
Evaluation – after the given task to them, we evaluate ourselves according to the performance that we did, I my self, I did my best to perform well, I was thinking the question that I know it will help to all my members within the organization. But somehow some of them did not read the book that we discussed so that they confuse to their answer, some of them they did.
Recommendation – to all facilitator, give your best shot, we must do our organizational design program in order to have a guide in making the integrated design.
Personal learning – as we tackled the different areas in the human behavior organization I’ve learned a lot from this subject even to our professor, we experienced different changes in life, but no matter how hard the changes comes be positive thinking and accept the things that are happen to our daily life. This course give better understanding in different situation in life.
